Rescue by Yuna

Now again I only heard of this song in the radio and fell in love with it immediately. It resembles Beyonce's Standing In The Sun but Yuna did hers way better than Queen Bey this time. Yuna describes it as a mix of Mary Poppins meets Coldplay and I couldn't agree more!

Water And A Flame

This song was originally sung as a duet by Daniel Merriweather and Adele, but the version by Celine is simply magnificent. It a rather dark, gloomy and sad song (just like one of typical Adele's) but you just can't deny the powerful vocals of Celine just made this song to die for.

When I was cruising around the Langkawi Island, I overheard this song on the radio and it immediately captured my attention. The lyrics were so pure and undeniably true!

I supposed the message of this song is just to be grateful and appreciative of what you have with you now.  

Loved Me Back To Life

You would probably know by now that I am a great of Celine Dion. Well, she just dropped her latest single "Loved Me Back To Life" from the similar named album that will be out this 1st November.

When I watched the making of this song, I suddenly realized what was the message behind this song. Its about a person in coma, but woke up in the end thanks to the love that person felt emancipating from so many others.

Now believe me, this album is going to be Grammy-worthy. Get a copy and indulge yourself to the "new" Celine's way of singing. Its current, fresh and has all the long bars of vocals that we are dying for. Simply magnifique!

World Class Duets

I am sooo sooo into 'Just Give Me A Reason' by Pink and Nate Reuss lately. Its like my midnite cravings before sleep, I just have to have it! Seriously people, that is one-of-a kind duet and undeniable powerful vocals by both singers.

And of course over the years, just a handful of great duets are being produced. I can name you a few (in my personal opinion though).

Bagaikan Sakti by M Nasir and Dato' CT Nurhaliza is just - SPECTACULAR. I remember watching the snippet of the video clip, and would long to wait for another snippet being aired on local tv stations. I mean let's face the fact, even Muara Hati (Dato' CT Nurhaliza feat Hafiz) does not have that 'uumph' that Bagaikan Sakti posses.

Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat's lucky is another great duet ever recorded.

But still, the best duets of all time would be my personal duet with my fellow roomie in the song, That Thing You Do!

Keep Up With Me

Keep Up With Me - that would be the perfect English title for Jaclyn Victor's album and single, 'Ikut Rentakku'.

Released last 2 weeks, her new single is constantly being played by local radio stations. With catchy lyrics and tune to the song, Ikut Rentakku has a glimpse of Anita Sarawak's Seksis aura. Maybe because, owh well, KRU produced this whole album (and so was Anita Sarawak's Seksis). You might want to check out her rendition on Sedetik Lebih also - flawless is the adjective I need to add!

Really tempted to get a copy from the CD store, but I've went to 2 stores and none of them have her album at their rack. Will try my luck this weekend again.

Somos Novios - Its Impossible

I adore this version of the song by Andrea and Christina. The direct translation of the title from Spanish is 'We Are Together', but the English version to the lyrics called for 'Its Impossible'.

This song reminds me of 'I Hate You Then I Love You' by Celine Dion & Luciano Pavarotti. I must say, one of the best and well-balanced duets of all time. Kudos!

Reminiscence of A Wet Morning

It was raining, slightly this morning, and it reminded me of those days where I felt so reluctant to wake up for Fluid Mechanics.

So I went searching, for songs that would heal such feeling. I was caught by surprise, and if I may add, songs written and created 5 years ago are way much hotter than those current songs played in radio.

Last Sunday, while waiting for my friend to pick me up from house, I quickly went through my old CD collection, and found back these old CDs by Dato Siti Nurhaliza.

I call them the triple threat, because these 3 albums have gained numerous awards within Malaysia and internationally. I am still in the opinion, these 3 albums cannot be replaced, even by Dato Siti Nurhaliza herself no more.

The singing voice in these albums were pure, sincere and true.

Felt like back in time to Form 4 while listening to these albums. Nice...

I Can't Look At The Stars

Yes, I'm currently addicted to the song titled "Star" by Grace Potter and The Nocturnals.

I've first heard this song sung in the American Idol S13, and was straightaway impressed with its stunning chorus.

I can sing this song all day long... but poor thing, the Malaysian radio stations are yet to play this song.
