Time Off To LIMA

Perhaps I should reword the title of this post to Working During LIMA. As a matter of fact, I did worked my butt off during the final days of LIMA at Langkawi.

First up, LIMA is Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition and yes, I just got to know. Last Thursday, I was told to leave everything behind, and leave Penang for Langkawi. Apparently there is this submarine that needs refueling - Kapal Diraja Tunku Abdul Rahman was his name.

 

Owh yes, and them commoners  are only allowed to take pictures far away, while I got myself on top of the submarine. Yippie!!

Am not gonna lie, it was an awesome experience, one that may not even duplicate itself in my lifetime.

A colleague of  mine texted me 5 mins ago and asked me, "What occupation starts with L and has the alphabets as above?".

I swear to God, I totally have no idea! Her daughter is only Standard 3 and they are giving such questions in primary school? Even a graduated Engineer do not know how to answer.

Brings me back to school days. Who did we refer to if we do not know how to answer our Additional Maths questions? Our mum? Our dad? Friends? But wouldn't asking a friend is copying?

My little nephew who is 3 years old is now literate enough to write until number seven. 3 years old???

Life oh life...

Helping Hands

It feels good to help others, but it is also tiring at times. One should treasure the values of helping others, as you are collecting merits along the way.

The weird thing about helping others is that, when you have the will to do so, there will be nothing to be helped. But when you least expected to help others, there came the opportunity right in front of you!

Though I may not be Ellen or Oprah, helping others in terms of money, I can always help others with what I have. 

I was in the hospital till late midnight yesterday, admitting my neighbour to the hospital after he fell from the rooftop around 7 p.m..

Be kind, help others.

Wedding Plans

An English Garden...

And lots of cupcakes with my favourite English Breakfast tea.

Simple rite? LOL! Had a fruitful discussion with a group of old friends from high school - ALL GIRLS! And of course, the session will have to include the ever spicy gossip session. As they dwell into who is getting married and where are they gonna have it, I laid a few ground rules to my wedding plans.

First, no RSVP required and assigned seats. Come on, if you already have the money to have the wedding reception in hotel, you should not be so cautions on how many people are coming. Just block 100 tables! Extra seats? Please lah, 10 person to a table is just too close! Let your guests ease out among themselves.

Second, no speeches or cheque presentation ceremony. I mean, really??? You have to donate to charity during your wedding? Not in mine!

Third, NO KARAOKE! Period.

So the girls told me, "We shall wait and see how your wedding turned up!". Well, lets just wait and see.

But the MAJOR thing about the meet up was actually this....

Life Is To Be Inspired

Life is so full of things that can be inspired of, and I do think that my personal life has been inspired by the lots of things that I've seen and learnt.

Money was something that does not come easy in my life, but yet, my mum managed to send me to coloring classes. It used to cost something about RM20 per month (which is like a huge deal back then) for 4 times lessons. And I have to thank my mum for what she has done for me, because...

I think my mum inspired me most! So, which one do you like most?

These were the fun processes of water color. No white or black color!

I Can't Look At The Stars

Yes, I'm currently addicted to the song titled "Star" by Grace Potter and The Nocturnals.

I've first heard this song sung in the American Idol S13, and was straightaway impressed with its stunning chorus.

I can sing this song all day long... but poor thing, the Malaysian radio stations are yet to play this song.
