Kelvin Yew Kean Liang (Original)
Kean Liang Kelvin Yew (according to English way)
Kelvin Yew Kean Liang Yew (My uni's official name)
Kelvin Liang (My email account for webmail)
Kelvin Yew Kean Yew (My ID card's name)
Liang,Kelvin Yew Kean (Attendance Sheet's Name)

So? I have to go from department after department to change my name. Finally, I've learnt the correct way of putting my name.

Thus, it will only appear Kelvin Yew Kean Liang. Fiuh.... It took me 3 days to do that! Thank God my name was not Kelvin Yew Kean Liang Yew Boon Chuan! Nyeh nyeh nyeh... *wink *wink

Hamtaro goes Barrosa Valley

After a week of lectures, tired and stunned with their way of teaching, I headed to the Barrosa Valley. Barrosa Valley is located at the remote area of Adelaide, 1 hour journey to get there. It is famous for its vineyard and wines. Barrosa Valley contributes to 50% of Australia made wine and 10% of the world’s production. You might be wondering, what does it has to do with me? Well, my brother is in wine making sector, my father sells wine and my granduncle owns a wine making company. Does it sounds any much more relevant that I might be into wines one day? Maybe…

It was a very nice day for us to go for the tour. Unfortunately, we are in the middle of winter. Thus, no grapes and only branches! Despite that, the view of the vineyard was spectacular. Do you guys remember the story we studied in English literature of a man who retired and bought a humble abode in a vineyard? Then he tried killing himself after finding out that he did not have enough money to carry on his life. I felt like the story came to life once again when I was there.

One of the most important thing when you visit a vineyard is of course, THE WINE! I had lots of wine tasting and I’ve finally decided on a BIN138 Penford’s Red Wine (2004’s production) which costs me $31.90. After all, its gonna be a sweet cum expensive memory when I’m back there.

Violating Fundamental Maths Law

Some people are trying to violate the most fundamental maths law in this planet. Here, this is what I meant:

E.g.:
Situation 1
A says: I hate you! (-)
After some persuasion by B…
A says: Ok la, lets be friends! (+)
And they lived happily ever after (+)
(-) + (+) = +

Situation 2
BFF: During semester 1, I flirt a lot! I didn’t attend class la, hand up assignments late la…(-)
BFF: But I still study a bit. (+)
BFF: Then at last, I still in the Dean’s List what! (in a proudly manner) (+)
(-) + (+) = +

Jejibak jegibok, hatiku tak tahan, nasiblah enam purnama je…

Here are some sneak peaks at my 1st week’s lecture:

And, someone seems to love Australia very much! Nyeh... nyeh... nyeh...

The 1st Lecture

My 1st lecture was filled with these words:

Arse
Shit
Hell
Stupid Yankees

etc. etc. etc.

I was like speechless when those words came of the lecturer's mouth! Anyways, the lectures here was so much different from Malaysia's. It was rather the lecturer telling stories. Long stories that you do not wish to listen and better to sleep. Students here are unrespectful towards the lecturer, or at least I think they aren't. They just leave the class as they want and they just talk as loud as they wish! Where is the etiquette for studying? Maybe its the way here. I'm very tired today, straight from 9-5 NON STOP man! But 2moro is a free day! Hahaha.. This is the time I start to miss UTP and the rest! Hey call me if u guys got extra credit. Here's my new number: Ask me lor!!!

Victor Harbor here I come

The orientation program in my Uni is very student friendly and fun. We have loads of fun free food too. One of the programs was to visit the Victor Harbor. It takes an hour or so ride from our campus to the harbor. Although it was a bit tiring, but let me tell you that it is WORTH the long journey. You might be wondering, what is so great in a harbor. Well, let the pictures speak for itself.

Too posy rite? Lol=)

With regards, Kelvin

I love Australia and I know a lot do as well. Now is my turn to blog about my life here thus far. Life here is easy going and everything is so convenient. From bus, shopping complexes, studies, people and also the food, its all simply marvelous! It has been a week I’m at here and I’m glad to say that I don’t wanna go home. No worries! Petronas will handle the rest. With lots of barbies, Aussies, Woolies and also lollies, I am very happy to be here. Its was as if I was taken away from home to settle at here for a while before going back to Malaysia to suffer again. Lol.. No la, just jokin! I know many wanna updates from me and I wanna say sorry for the late delivery. It was all due to my Internet connection. Let me do this in chapters, that will be easier.
Apartment.
My apartment is spacious and very comfortable. A private room with a private bathroom, what else can I ask for? Macam hotel weh… Fully furnished with a kitchen and I cook every dinner. Ha… jangan tak percaya Cik Kiah ooi! Dapur I berasap, kalah Chef Wan!

My uni.
I will have to take a bus from my apartment to my campus, 15 minutes ride or so. The best word to describe my uni is that its very antique! Its situated at a very strategic place in a row along with the state museum, state library and the art gallery. Do not ask me anything about it as I did not have a chance yet to visit them. The campus uses similar system like UTP namely Blackboard System for e-learning and OPAC for library services. But the difference is at here we have printing and Internet quota. Once your quota expiries, then you will have to pay for it. This is very important to avoid ‘people from printing people sleeping’s picture!’

Food
Food no problem here! Still can enjoy Malaysian and Asian cuisine for a super FANTASTIC price. 2 red chilies will easily cost $2 = RM6. Mampus lor! The easy solution is pasta, spaghetti and cheese. Balik jadi Italiano!

Gossip?
Eh, I cannot live without gossip la! So, the 1st day I landed on this Kangaroo island, I terus form a temporary 6 months gossip gang. But this time it includes Singaporean also. Hahaha… Mak Cik pun join sekaki! Tak percaya? Look at this! No la, she is actually accompanying her daughter here. Dah she so free, join us la to gossip! Lol...=) Unavoidable!

Sightseeing
A fantastic place to shop and go for sightseeing. Ok la, maybe some say must go Gold Coast or dunno what Mountain to really enjoy Australia. But for me, its sufficient to wonder around Adelaide with its vineyard, harbor, beach, zoo and shopping complexes. Oh ya, I went for Harry Potter as well on the 11th. It was… it was very... erm… Harry Potter la! Nyeh nyeh nyeh!

Me?
I’ve changed my Friendster’s Profile for goodness sake this time. However, I am still gonna be me. What was the past still remains the same. As cute as a hamster and as stern and stubborn as a rock!

More to tell you all but that will be in the next post I guess. C ya later! G'day mate!

With so little time left

With so little time left, I still have some time for myself to fool around. Here's one good reason why Kelvin a.k.a Hamt@RO should not have a camera:

And after PCD found their latest member, the Taiwanese boyband, Fahrenheit could not resist taking in the best vocalist in town.

How well do you know Dr. Chong (PChem) and Dr. Cecillia (OChem)? They became partners la! See for yourself!

Ok, gtg pack my bag!

I hate it.

I always hate it- long awaiting, loud Ah Ee karaoke with off pitch and tune, yelling ‘yam seng’ till suara pun serak and finally a can of ‘longan’ which is not tasty at all. I hate it, oh I HATE IT!

Typical Chinese wedding and thank Lord my brother is definitely NOT getting one of those on this coming Christmas. The restaurant I went yesterday nite was so packed, so stuffy and so noisy. I wonder why people want such a wedding dinner. A wedding dinner, in my opinion la, should be calm and serene with ball dance floor for all the couples to commemorate their wedding dates ma. Apa la! So bising and can’t even talk also. The worst is, that restaurant did not have a lift. Poor those old nanny and Ah Ees’ have to climb a floor up for that dinner. Wah, really kesian man! Charles, how was your sista's? Ok, gotta go. Very busy week ahead!
