Souvenir Hunt

Yesterday was a fine day, windy and shady. So, we decided to go for a Souvenir Hunting session at Tea Tree Plaza. Its located at the suburb area and it takes roughly about 20 minutes to get there through the O-Bahn (pronounced as “uban”) Highway. The O-Bahn Highway is told to be the fastest highway at Adelaide and yes it was quite speedy. Two main questions were constantly hitting my mind. What should I get for HER and what should I get for HIM? Arrrghhhh… its so hard to find something that will suite everyone.
From my hunt, I found a few ‘suitable’ stuff as souvenirs. Here, have a look:

From top left: Tamagochi (the last time I saw this thing was when I was in Std 5), ash-keeper wood (I ain’t know what is that, but it was pretty!), a cap (nice one!), nail polish (err… I even tried on my pinky), fake pearls (no comments), handbags (dah melampau dah nie!) and even a PINK bag (ahem ahem…)

After 3 hours of hunting for souvenirs, I finally found something that everyone will like. And the great news is that everyone will get one cause I bought lots and lots of them:

This is only quarter of what I have bought. It was simply a chocolicious day! Cheers.

A different twist

If I were to stay in the room, I will be wasting my internet quota watching cheap quality clips from Youtube. NO WAY!!! I am not staying in the room on the night true love was tested!

Hahaha… What I meant was the Lantern Festival. Remember my wish for this lantern festival? I wished that my friends will remember me, just that. When I woke up this morning, there was already one special friend who texted me a message from UTP. Siapa lagi? Mak Teh la!!! Aiyoh Mak Teh, really kam siah you cause you really make my day happier lor. When I switched on my laptop and checked my Friendster’s page, there were like 2 testimonials and a message wishing me Happy Mid-Autumn Day! What a great day to start on with! Thanks Guan, Ah Boy and Vincent! Then later on, had a gossip session with Miss Nga a.k.a Ee Von and she too wished me Happy Mooncake Festival! Miss Nga, thanks a lot! Miss you all so MUCH!

When the night came, I was unsure either should I go for the Lantern Festival organized by the Adelaide Festival Center or should I just stay in the room. I mean, Lantern Festival at Adelaide? Its NOT gonna be as happening as Malaysia’s! BUT, I was terribly WRONG!!! It was FUN and it left me in awe!

We had fireworks, crackers, Chinese acrobatics, er-hu playing session, Chinese dance, Japanese story telling of their version of Mooncake Festival, lion dance and a bunch of Lau Ah Mas’ singing Muo Li Hua! I had a great time and its gonna be a memorable night for me! I am starting to love life at here finally. Hey you guys back there! How was your celebration (ahem ahem … without me)? Lol…

It started on last Saturday when ‘someone’ in UTP started to put Dinesh’s picture as his Gtalk’s picture with some nasty shout out la. I thought it was a plan to get Dinesh and I followed also. Then, I saw another version of Dinesh’s picture from Guan. It was edited with red cheeks on it. I really cannot tahan and so, I edited a own version of Dinesh’s picture. Beh even edited a half Dinesh- half Azhar picture and named it Mocha Sensation! Lol….. However, it wasn’t anything funny for Dinesh and he was angry till I could feel his anger at here. Lebih power than tsunami lo! So, here goes my deepest apologies to you Dinesh! What a great week. Happy Spring holidays to all Aussies!

What a waste...

The 2nd semester is the one of which I love most! Without fail, there would be more fun and hence, more gossips! But this time around, my best friends turned out to be my books! I spend most of time with them, not that I don’t like it. But its becoming like too much. Its already the fasting month this time. And I could recall daily the atmosphere at UTP when the Muslims were fasting. They will usually tease me for not fasting. Plus, I will have to wait till buka puasa to gossip with Azhar as he says, “Gossip pada masa puasa tue tak baik!” Going to the Pasar Ramadhan with Azhar is another thing that we will have to do every fasting month. But this time???

Next Tuesday is the Lantern Festival, and don’t you dare remind me of last year’s Lantern Festival! I miss it so much! Not even a mooncake nor a lantern for me this time. Only the moon so far away… I just dream that a mooncake will appear on my table tomorrow when I wake up! That would make my day. Sometimes a small gesture or action, brings a thousand meaning to those who are receiving it. For this Lantern Festival, I pray and I wish for my friends to remember me, just that! Mak Teh, dun call me from Malaysia ar, mahal tau. =)

But now, just wanna focus on my final exam next Friday! 4 more days to go… *chill*chill*

I wanna talk to you!

Listen up! I have a question for you.

“If you knew a woman who was pregnant, and had 8 children already of which three were deaf, two blind, one mentally retarded and she had syphilis, would you recommend that she had an abortion?”

So all you think are grades, credits and cleverness isn’t it? This is the time to think twice. Grades, credits and marks won’t be following you to your grave once you are off! So, be humble and try to give others what you have. It is not easy at times, but it’s the effort that counts. I am not an “Alex” nor I am not a Jackass. I am just me, a human with normal being (might not be true at times) and living life to the fullest.

Grades are merely grades. Take this for an example. Last 3 semesters, we took a course and that course requires us to do a report after a visit to a Orphanage Home. We did the report with sweat and tears with fullest commitment. And there was this one lucky star who did the report a day before it dues and guess how much he get? FULL MARKS! Grades compared to commitment uh?

I’ll be having my final exam next Friday. Nervous I am but I still have to be there on the exam hall to attempt that paper. Hopefully everything goes fine, I pray… Tomorrow is the starting of my study week (supposedly mid-term holiday). This is the time when I am supposed to be in the library with my gang gossiping cum studying at the same time. However no worries, for HamT@RO will definitely find his way out the bush. GAMATEH!!!

Oh ya, by the way, if you recommended an abortion you just killed Beethoven! Cheers people!

Its gonna start…

Although I am currently not with my family, they are still going on with so much FUN activities without me. Eh, mana ada aci macam ini? Let’s start with my Mum. In the midst of me homesick, she went to Thailand for a shopping spree. And she bought for herself a Nyonya Kebaya material (I supposed its lace with flowers and leaves designs on it). That would be her dinner attire for my brother’s wedding. Eh, what about my Dad ar? I wonder he is going to wear? Sarongs? Baru matching ma… lol =) That is for dinner. What about that morning session ar? Versace? Gucci? Or Vera Wang?

My Aunt is even worse. She started on a gold shopping spree. For who? Who else? My SOON GOING TO BE FILTHY RICH BROTHER la! Aunty Helen ar, can buy my portion in advance or not ar? Then next time if I get married, you no need to buy anymore for me ady. Lol…

My Dad is taking everything slowly, extremely slow to be precise! Typical of him. I asked him either he needs a formal attire and if he does, I could purchase them here for him. His answer was, “Have you taken your dinner?” You go Dad!!!

My brother? Eh, who is going to be your best man ar? You didn’t inform me yet. For sure, I cannot be your best man! But, your Ang Pau ar, must be super duper big one ar! Come on la, I am your only brother you know. If you cannot get a Sang Keh Em ar, I can get you a good one, Sang Keh Pek (Pondan version) Lol!!!=) My Tai Sou is still shopping for the correct stilettos. Tai Sou, no need high heels la, you are tall enough!

The worst is the family portrait! Am I excluded? I AM!!! Never mind, I will use my Photoshop expertise to lasso my best pose and put it in the family portrait. Wahahaha… Guys, I am feeling better by the way! Thanks for all the nagging, eh eh eh… I mean advice and all the chats we had together! Cheers!
